The Z8 was a single generation roadster, developed under the codename E52 between 1993 and 1999, with a design team led by Chris Bangle from 1993 to 1995, an exterior by Henrik Fisker and an interior by Scott Lempert. It was meant at first as a styling exercise celebrating the 507. Its aluminium space frame was built at Dingolfing and the finished car was assembled by hand in Munich, 5,703 in all. Its model years run from 1998 to 2003.
