2003 BMW Z8

Automobiles

The Z8 was replaced by the Alpina Roadster V8 in 2003, a more grand touring oriented version that was developed with the Alpina company and that was a departure from the hard edged sporting focus of the original car. Bertone also unveiled the Birusa concept based on the Z8 at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show. The Alpina car used the same V8 body but a more relaxed set up, and Alpina had not previously sold its cars through retail channels in the United States.
