BMW introduced the M4 GTS concept in August 2015 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, previewing the track focused version of the M4 that would enter production the following year. The 2015 M4 was the F82 coupe, which had been built since 2014, a high performance version of the 4 Series developed by BMW's motorsport division. The GTS concept appeared that August, the year after the standard car.
