1971 BMW E3 (New Six)

Automobiles

For the 1971 model year the importer Max Hoffman convinced BMW to build the 2500 configuration car with the 2800 engine, a combination that was unique to the American market and was called the Bavaria. It cost about 6,000 dollars and came to replace both older models there. In the same year the dual carburetor 3.0 S, a more powerful and expensive model than the 2800, was introduced for other markets.
