Automobiles

E38 production began in 1994 for the 1995 model year, and the 750i started production in November 1994 in advance of its January 1995 launch. In 1995 the 7 Series got diesel engines as an option for the first time, a turbocharged straight six, the E38 being the first 7 Series with a diesel engine. Alpina fitted an electric catalytic converter to its B12 from 1995. The Alpina B12 5.7 E-KAT was based on the 750i.
