2019 was a mid cycle year for the G30 5 Series, which had been on sale since February 2017 as the executive car of the line. It was produced at the BMW Group Plant Dingolfing, with the long wheelbase version coming from Shenyang and contract production at Magna Steyr in Graz, and the facelift was a year away. The 530e iPerformance was now a regular option. The saloon had made its debut in January 2017 at the Detroit show.
