In 1994 the wide grille that had been unique to the V8 models became available on the other E34 versions, and the six speed Getrag manual gearbox was fitted to the 540i and the 1994 M5. The M5 continued in production as the Touring and saloon until August 1995, and BMW sold a 540i M Sport version in North America since the M5 was discontinued there in 1993. The Alpina B10 3.0 AllRad was built from 1993 to 1996, and the E34 M5 was a main option for the Touring.
