In 2016 the F32 generation 4 Series was in its third full year, with a range that covered the coupe, convertible and Gran Coupe and a range of petrol and diesel engines. The coupe still came from the Munich plant, where the F32 and the F82 M4 coupe were built, while the Gran Coupe was produced in Dingolfing, and the convertible was made at Regensburg. The three body styles gave buyers a choice between the two door coupe, the open convertible and the five door liftback.
