1975 BMW 3 Series

Automobiles

The E21 production began in June 1975, and BMW's Board of Management showed the car to the public in July at the Munich Olympic Stadium. It was the first 3 Series and replaced the 02 Series, borrowing the naming convention begun by the E12 5 Series. The launch range was carburetted four cylinder 316, 318 and 320 models, and the injected 320i followed at the end of the year with Bosch K-Jetronic and an optional limited slip differential.
