1957 Austin Princess

Automobiles

From August 1957 the Austin name was dropped from the badge so the car could be sold by Nuffield dealerships simply as the Princess IV. Until then it had been sold as the Austin Princess IV. The car in 1957 was priced at six and a half times the price of an Austin A30, the cheapest car in the Austin range at the time, and demand stayed very low. The luxury Princess line stayed in the Austin range, now sold through Nuffield dealers.
