For 2012 the TL was given new front and rear styling, with a smaller insert in the front grille replacing the controversial beak. It also got Honda's six-speed automatic transmission, ventilated seats, a 60 gigabyte hard drive, a blind-spot information system and upgraded wheels. The engines carried over but the city and highway economy improved by two and three miles per gallon, and the car was three decibels quieter on the highway.
