The 2008 RL carried on in the United States exactly as the 2007 model had, with the same three trim levels and with some paint colors added and others dropped. In Canada it was sold as two models, the Base and the Elite Package, and the Elite added the collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control, active front lighting, ventilated front seats and burled maple trim. The 2009 update that followed was shown at the Chicago Auto Show in February 2008.
