The 2006 RL gained a second trim level, an optional Technology Package, which added adaptive cruise control, a Collision Mitigation Braking System and Michelin PAX run-flat tires on unique aluminum wheels. The color-matched mud guards that had been standard were removed, and the navigation system was slightly changed so that an optional rearview camera could be installed. The PAX system used a metric run-flat tire and wheel equivalent to an 18 inch size.
