The 2012 RDX was the last year of the first generation. Its 240 horsepower turbo four-cylinder, five-speed automatic and SH-AWD or front-wheel drive carried over, and the auxiliary input jack and USB port remained. The next RDX had been shown at the Detroit show in January 2012 and went on sale that April, so the two generations were on sale together briefly. The 2012 car had earned Good ratings in IIHS tests.
