The 2007 RDX went on sale on August 11, 2006, a compact luxury crossover with a 240 horsepower turbocharged 2.3 litre engine, which was unusual in a Honda, plus Super Handling All-Wheel Drive and a five-speed automatic with steering wheel paddles. It had standard leather, a moonroof and automatic climate control. In November 2006 the federal government gave it five stars for frontal and side crash protection and four for rollover.
