The 2001 Acura Integra was the last of the third generation, and the last Integra sedan in the United States. A new fourth-generation Integra had arrived in Japan in April 2001, and North America would see it from 2002 as the RSX, a left-hand-drive version of that Japanese car. The Type R was still on sale for this final year in the lineup, in liftback form only. The liftback and sedan bodies on sale were the same ones introduced for 1994, with the Type R, GS-R and lower trims offered in the range.
