The Troller T4 was a four-wheel-drive off-road vehicle made by Troller, a Ford-owned brand founded in 1995 in Ceará, Brazil, and was only available as a two-door with a fibreglass body on a steel chassis, its design initially inspired by the Jeep. The first generation, launched in 1996 as the RF-Sport (RF for its founder Rogério Farias), had a tubular chassis and fibreglass body built much like a dune buggy, a Volkswagen AP1800 petrol engine, a gearbox carried over from the Ford F-1000 and Jeep Cherokee axles. The second generation of 2001 to 2014 moved to a rectangular-section body-on-frame chassis to ease production, added the first diesel option, an MWM 2.8 litre, dropped petrol late in 2001, and used mechanical parts and interiors bought from Brazilian-market vehicles. After Ford bought Troller in 2007 a 2009 update brought Ford interior parts, and from 2013 a 3.2 litre MWM/International diesel met Brazilian emissions rules. The third generation of 2014 rode on a frame based on the global Ford Ranger's T6 platform with a fibreglass top hat and the Ford 3.2 litre Duratorq five-cylinder diesel. It ended in 2021 when Ford Brazil ceased operations and Troller's plant was deactivated.
