The TR5 is the sports car that the Triumph Motor Company built in Coventry, England, with the TR250 as the version for the North American market, in production for 14 months, from August 1967 to September 1968. It replaced the TR4A with a six cylinder engine, based on the 2.0 liter six that debuted in the Standard Vanguard Six in 1960. Triumph had anticipated that the TR4's four cylinder could not meet the stricter American emission rules coming into effect in 1968. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1967 to 1968).
