Triumph Acclaim

Automobiles

The Acclaim is the four door saloon with a front engine and front wheel drive that British Leyland made in Britain between 1981 and 1984 from the Honda Ballade design. It was the final car marketed under the Triumph marque, and the first product of the alliance between BL, later the Rover Group, and Honda that would last until the mid 1990s. Assembled at Cowley, it was launched on 7 October 1981 and achieved good reliability and build quality from the outset. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the Mark 1 (1981 to 1983); the Mark 2 (1983 to 1984).
