The Triumph 1300 is the medium to small four door saloon that Standard Triumph made in Coventry between 1965 and 1970 under the control of Leyland Motors, introduced at the London Motor Show in October 1965 to replace the popular Herald. Its body was designed by Michelotti in a style similar to the larger Triumph 2000. The Triumph 1500 replaced it in August 1970, became the rear wheel drive 1500TC in 1973 and ended in 1976, and the design was re-engineered into the Toledo and Dolomite. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the 1300 (1965 to 1970); the 1500 and 1500TC (1970 to 1976).
