SFC120-V Series

Passenger Rolling Stock and High-Speed Trainsets

The SFC120-V series, also known as the CLI-125 series, is an electric multiple unit built by CRRC Qingdao Sifang in Qingdao, China, for the Indonesian commuter operator KAI Commuter, which runs it on the Bogor Line and the Cikarang Loop Line. KAI Commuter ordered it after the 2023 controversy over imported used trains led to the cancellation of second-hand imports from Japan. The first order in January 2024 was for three sets worth 783 billion rupiah, and an increase in July 2024 brought the total to 11 sets of 12 cars each, with the Indonesian government helping finance the purchase. The first trainset arrived at Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta on 31 January 2025, trials on the Jakarta to Bogor line began on 10 February 2025, and the first three sets entered service on 1 June 2025.
