Roewe W5

Automobiles

The Roewe W5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV built by Roewe in China and sold exclusively there. It was unveiled at the 2011 Auto Shanghai Exhibition and is based on the SsangYong Kyron. Its main engine is a 1.8 litre four cylinder turbo of 119 kW (162 PS), the same unit used in the Roewe 750 and 550, and a four wheel drive version was offered with a 3.2 litre inline six Mercedes-Benz M104 engine producing 162 kW (220 PS). Roewe's own model list gives its production years as 2011 to 2017 and places it among the former mid-size SUVs of the brand, alongside the later Marvel X, RX8 and RX9.
