The Roewe RX9 is a mid-size crossover SUV built by SAIC Motor under the Roewe brand, placed above the RX8 to expand Roewe in the premium SUV segment. It was introduced in August 2022 and, after delays from an originally planned third quarter release, reached the market in February 2023. It seats six or seven in three rows and has a bolder look than the RX8, with a large trapezoidal grille, slim headlights, flush door handles and a three part dashboard display. The single engine is a 2.0 litre turbocharged four cylinder petrol unit of 178 kW with a nine speed automatic. Outside China it is sold under the MG name as the MG RX9, the MG QS in Australia from May 2025, and the MGS9 PHEV in Europe from March 2026 with a 1.5 litre plug-in hybrid, and in Russia as the Moskvich M90. Roewe lists it as a former model, 2023 to 2025.
