The Roewe 950 is a large four door saloon built by Roewe in China and based on the 2010 Buick LaCrosse. It was first shown to the public at the 2012 Beijing International Motor Show and went into production in April 2012. The close relationship with the LaCrosse follows from the SAIC GM Wuling joint venture, with Roewe owned by SAIC Motor, and the car uses a range of General Motors engines: a 2.0 litre four of 147 PS, a 2.4 litre four of 186 PS and a 3.0 litre V6 of 258 PS with a claimed top speed of 215 km/h, all with a six speed automatic. A 1.8 litre four arrived in July 2015 and a major facelift followed in July 2017. Variants include the 950 Fuel Cell, shown at the 2014 Beijing show and the first Chinese production fuel cell passenger car when built from 2016, and the e950 plug-in hybrid launched in 2016.
