The third generation of the Renault Kangoo, coded XFK, revealed on 12 November 2020 alongside a lower-specification separate model called the Express. It rides on the new CMF-CD platform developed by Renault and Nissan, with production starting in late 2020 and sales in early 2021, and it received a light update with the latest Renault logo in 2024. Nissan sells a rebadged version as the Townstar. The electric Kangoo E-Tech, shown in prototype in March 2021 and in production from June 2022, uses a 90 kW traction motor and a 45 kWh battery for an estimated 285 to 300 km of WLTP range.
