Renault Kangoo

The Renault Kangoo is a family of minivans that Renault has built since 1997 over three generations, sold both as a passenger multi-purpose vehicle and as a light commercial van. In Europe it is built at the MCA plant in Maubeuge, France. The first generation, introduced in October 1997 and facelifted in March 2003, could have its rear windows and seats removed to make the Kangoo Express panel van, and its height and ramp-fitting options made it popular with wheelchair users. Four-wheel-drive and lengthened versions existed, and a pickup was sold in Sweden. Other makers have sold rebadged versions, including the Nissan Kubistar, NV250 and Townstar and, since 2012, the Mercedes-Benz Citan. The electric Kangoo Z.E. became Europe's top-selling all-electric light commercial vehicle, with over 100,000 built by mid-2023, and the Kangoo Be Bop of 2009, judged expensive and impractical, saw only about 1,400 built.
