The Porsche Mission R is a concept study of an all-electric GT racing car, shown by Porsche to illustrate what customer motorsport could look like in the future. Porsche presented it at the start of IAA Mobility 2021 in Munich as a preview of its next generation of electric motors, paired with a battery rated at more than 900 volts. Two permanently excited synchronous electric motors, one on each axle, use direct oil cooling of the stator, so power stays constant through a race with no thermal de-rating. In qualifying mode the all-wheel-drive car has a peak system output of more than 800 kW (1,088 PS), and continuous system power in race mode is 500 kW (680 PS). Porsche quotes a top speed of more than 300 km/h, a weight of around 1,500 kg and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.5 seconds. The battery can be charged from 5 to 80 percent in about 15 minutes, and the study sits at the performance level of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
