The Plymouth Voyager 3 was a minivan concept car revealed by Plymouth in 1989 and shown at the 1990 Chicago Auto Show. Part of its aerodynamic design was a glass roof, and its most unusual feature was that it behaved like a miniature tractor-trailer, with a cab that separated from the back of the car and could be driven by itself, the rear wheels of the cab being hidden when the car was in one piece. Each of its two segments contained its own four-cylinder engine, and the engines were electronically coordinated to deliver power independently or together. One source credited the design to Chrysler designer Tom Gale, who also shaped the Dodge Viper and Plymouth Prowler, and called it the worst concept car of all time.
