Peugeot 5008

The Peugeot 5008 is a series of automobiles that the French manufacturer Peugeot has produced since 2009. It was originally a compact MPV and was reclassified as a mid-size SUV in 2017, with five and seven seat versions and the same engine range as the 3008. The first generation, T87, was unveiled in July 2009 and went on sale in November 2009, shares its core structure and mechanical components with the first 3008, was named 2010 MPV of the Year by the magazine What Car and gained a loyal following who call it the Space Wagon. A facelift in October 2013 brought PureTech three-cylinder petrol and BlueHDi diesel engines. The second generation, P87, was unveiled to the press on 7 September 2016 as essentially a seven-seater 3008 with a wheelbase 165 mm longer, a weight about 50 kg higher and three rows of seats. It is assembled at the PSA plant in Rennes in France and by Dongfeng PSA in Chengdu in China.
