Packard One-Ten

Automobiles

The Packard Eighteenth Series One-Ten was the entry-level six-cylinder Packard of the 1940 and 1941 model years, renamed from the Fifteenth Series Six. It shared the wheelbase of the One-Twenty but carried the One-Ten designation to mark it as the cheapest line, and it was introduced in August 1939 in two- and four-door sedans, a station wagon and a convertible. Prices ran from 867 dollars for the business coupe to 1,200 dollars for the station wagon, and 62,300 were built in 1940. For 1941 a Deluxe trim level and a taxi line were added. Critics say the cheap sixes hurt Packard's luxury reputation, but they helped support the company through the Depression. For 1942 the name reverted to Packard Six.
