Mercury Monterey (1957 to 1958)

Automobiles

The full size Mercury was redesigned for 1957 and grew considerably larger, riding on an exclusive 122 inch wheelbase that elevated Mercury above the new Edsel line. A new frame design allowed a lower floor, so the car looked lower and longer. The station wagons were divested from the Monterey series into the Commuter, Voyager and Colony Park lines. For 1958 an all new 383 cubic inch MEL V8 arrived. Its model years run from 1957 to 1958.
