Meraviglia-class cruise ship

Passenger and Ocean Liner Vessels

The Meraviglia class is a series of large cruise ships built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire for MSC Cruises, ordered in 2014 as the yard's fourth series. The lead ship, MSC Meraviglia, was delivered on 31 May 2017 and the class grew to include MSC Bellissima in 2019 and a larger Meraviglia Plus variant with MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa and MSC Euribia. Each vessel carries about 4,500 passengers and the design is known for an interior promenade with an LED panel ceiling. The ships use diesel-electric propulsion, four diesel engines producing power for two Azipod units under the stern, and carry exhaust gas cleaning and shore power connections. MSC Meraviglia was assembled from about 50 prefabricated hull megablocks, with cabins built as separate modules.
