The McLaren MP4-30 is the Formula One racing car that Tim Goss and Neil Oatley designed for McLaren to compete in the 2015 season. Fernando Alonso, who returned to the team after eight years, and Jenson Button drove it, with Kevin Magnussen standing in for Alonso after a test accident. It was the first McLaren since the MP4/7A of 1992 to be powered by a Honda engine, the RA615H, after the end of a twenty-year Mercedes partnership. The team nicknamed it the size zero car for its sharply tapered rear end. The season was marred by reliability problems, a best finish of fifth place at the Hungarian Grand Prix, twenty-seven points and ninth place in the Constructors Championship.
