The McLaren MCL33 is the Formula One racing car that McLaren designed and built for the 2018 FIA World Championship, driven by Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne. It was the first McLaren to use a customer Renault engine, after the team ended its supply deal with Honda following three years, and the first with a French-licensed engine maker since the Peugeot powered MP4/9 of 1994. It made its competitive debut at the Australian Grand Prix and was launched in an orange and blue livery honouring some of the earliest McLaren cars. The switch exposed weaknesses in the chassis, with just two top ten qualifying times all year, but reliability improved and the team finished sixth in the Constructors Championship.
