The McLaren M2B was the first Formula One racing car of the McLaren team, used during the 1966 season. It was conceived in 1965 and preceded by the M2A development car. Robin Herd designed it, and it was built using the innovative but problematic Mallite material. It was powered by Ford and Serenissima engines, both of which lacked power and suffered reliability problems. Team founder Bruce McLaren drove it in a short Grand Prix career of six entries and only four starts. It scored the first point for the team at the British Grand Prix and two more points at the United States Grand Prix.
