The Ligier JS47 is an open-wheel formula race car designed, developed and produced by the French manufacturer Ligier, specifically built to Formula 3 regulations in 2004. It is one of the junior-formula cars that the company offered alongside its sports prototypes and, in the same period, its road microcars. Its JS designation continues the numbering that began with Ligier's road and racing cars of the 1970s and honours Jo Schlesser, a friend of the founder Guy Ligier who was killed in the 1968 French Grand Prix while driving for Honda.
