The Ligier JS33 was a Formula One car used by the Ligier team during the 1989 Formula One season. Its best finish in a race was fifth, at the 1989 Canadian Grand Prix. The JS33 was updated to a B specification for use in the following season, but that version failed to score any points for the team. It followed the uncompetitive JS31 of 1988 and belongs to the late-1980s run of cars in which the French team, founded by Guy Ligier, struggled to recover the form it had shown in the late 1970s with Jacques Laffite.
