Ligier JS19

Automobiles

The Ligier JS19 was a Formula One racing car manufactured and raced by Equipe Ligier during the 1982 Formula One season. It was powered by a Talbot-badged Matra V12 engine and was driven by Jacques Laffite and Eddie Cheever. It replaced the JS17B part-way through that year, and it carries the JS prefix that Guy Ligier chose to honour his friend Jo Schlesser, who was killed in the 1968 French Grand Prix. The JS19 sits in the run of V12-powered cars with which the French team contested the early 1980s.
