The Lancia Sibilo is a 1978 concept car designed and built by Bertone on the production Lancia Stratos, with the wheelbase lengthened from 2,180 to 2,280 mm. Its main features were sharp aerodynamic lines and polycarbonate windows, a hand-beaten steel body, a small electrically movable circle in the side windows, a single large vertically sweeping wiper and retractable round headlights. Inside, the steering wheel was shaped to the hand and housed the warning light switches and a loudspeaker, and digital instruments sat near the base of the windshield. After its debut at the 1978 Turin Auto Show the very dark brown paint was lightened, the wheels repainted from bright yellow to light gold and a Lancia badge added. It used the Stratos mechanicals, a mid-mounted 2.4 litre Dino V6 and five-speed manual.
