The Lancia Lybra, Type 839, was a compact executive car built by Lancia between 1998 and 2005 to replace the Dedra. It was offered as a Berlina saloon and, from 2000, as a Station Wagon estate, and rode on a platform related to the Fiat Bravo, Brava and Marea. The body was styled in house at the Centro Stile Lancia rather than by an outside studio, with an interior by Flavio Manzoni. Its name referred to the zodiac sign Libra and ended the marque's habit of naming models after Greek letters. It was built at Rivalta and later Mirafiori near Turin, 164,660 were made in all, and it missed its initial sales targets.
