The Lancia Loraymo was a design study by the industrial designer Raymond Loewy, presented at the 1960 Paris motor show on the basis of the Lancia Flaminia. It used the Flaminia's 2.5 litre V6 engine, tuned by Nardi and Danese with three Weber twin carburettors and a modified camshaft to 150 PS (110 kW) instead of the standard 119 PS. The gold painted car is known for a nose projecting far beyond the headlights with extra lamps on thin struts, a curved rear window with a narrow wing along its top edge, full disc wheel covers and flowing wings in the so-called Coke bottle style. The name combines parts of Raymond Loewy's name. Show visitors disliked the front, so the design was dropped and Loewy drove the one-off car himself for some years before selling it. Lancia recovered it in the 1970s and restored it with a suitable engine, and it now belongs to the vehicle museum of the Fiat group in Turin.
