The Lancia Kappa of 1919 was a passenger car built by Lancia until 1922 and was the company's first post-war model, an updated version of the earlier Theta. Its 4,940 cc Tipo 64 side-valve four-cylinder engine was the first Lancia engine with a separate cylinder head instead of a monobloc, producing 70 hp at 2,200 rpm for a top speed of 125 km/h. The body sat on a ladder frame with solid axles on leaf springs, brakes on the transmission and the rear wheels, and a four-speed gearbox. A total of 1,810 were made, which made it the best-selling Lancia car of its time, ahead of the Theta.
