Lancia Florida is the name of two design studies based on the Lancia Aurelia, built by Lancia in collaboration with Pinin Farina in extremely small numbers and counted among the masterpieces of Italian automotive design. The Florida I of 1955 is mostly known as a four-door Berlina with rear suicide doors, no B pillar and headlights set in the grille, and four cars were built, three Berlinas and one coupe. The Florida II of 1957 is a four-door pillarless hardtop with a V6 of 2,266 cc making 87 hp, and it was a personal favourite of Battista Farina, who used it until his death in 1966. The sedan and the coupe versions of the Lancia Flaminia were later derived from them, and the Dialogos study of 1997 reused the pillarless door idea.
