Lancia Flaminia

Automobiles

The Lancia Flaminia is a luxury car produced by the Italian automaker Lancia from 1957 until 1970 and was Lancia's flagship of the time, replacing the Aurelia. It was available as a saloon, a coupe and a cabriolet, with the coupes and cabriolets coachbuilt by Pininfarina, Touring and Zagato, and four stretched presidential limousines were built by Pininfarina in 1960 and 1961. The chassis developed that of the Aurelia, with double wishbone front suspension and a De Dion rear with a rear transaxle, and its V6 evolved from the Aurelia engine. A total of 12,633 cars were sold over its 13 year life, the coupe outselling the four-door saloon, and the Flaminia was named after the Roman road Via Flaminia from Rome to Rimini.
