The Lancia Esaro was an Italian truck built by Lancia Veicoli Industriali at its Bolzano plant during the Second World War, identified by the company as Series 267. It belongs to the family of trucks that descends from the famous Lancia Ro and is a variant of the Lancia 3Ro. The petrol BM version was developed in 1941 and built mainly for military use from 1942 to 1945; a diesel NM version followed after the war, from 1946 to 1948, once the new heavy Esatau had entered production in 1947. It used the 3Ro's five-cylinder Lancia 102 engine of 6,875 cc, detuned to 80 horsepower for the BM to keep consumption down.
