The Lancia Esagamma was a truck and bus chassis built by Lancia from 1962 to 1973, the range that followed the Esatau. A total of 6,648 Esagamma trucks were built from 1962 to 1971. They used six-cylinder engines with aluminium parts and 187 to 228 hp, could carry from 19 to 44 tonnes with a trailer, and worked in Italy on commercial haulage and the building industry; they were also sold in France, the UK, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Greece, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Iran. On the bus side the Esagamma 715 was a long-distance coach built from 1965 to 1970 with a Carrozzeria Bianchi body, two doors and 42 places, and the 718 was made in 1973 and 1974, with 200 built. The article also lists the Esatau 703 bus of 1960 to 1964 and the four-axle articulated Esatau 703-08 of 1973 to 1980, the first Italian aluminium bus, built for Milan.
