Lancia Delta III

Automobiles

The third generation of the Lancia Delta is a segment C car built by Lancia from June 2008 to summer 2015 at the Fiat plant in Cassino. Known as Project 844, it was developed on a lengthened version of the space frame platform of the Fiat Bravo and, like the first Delta, is a two volume mid sized car. It followed the 2003 Stilnovo concept and had its world premiere at the Geneva show in March 2008, after a wait of nine years since the previous generation left production; enthusiasts were slow to accept it because its larger size, over 4.5 metres long on a 2.7 metre wheelbase, favoured comfort over sportiness. In Ireland and the United Kingdom it was sold under the Chrysler name from September 2011. The 1.6 Multijet version has a four cylinder engine of 1598 cc and 120 horsepower.
