The Lancia D24 was a sports racing car introduced by Lancia in 1953 and raced in the 1953 and 1954 seasons. It kept the layout of its predecessor the D23, with a multi-tubular frame, double wishbone and De Dion suspension, a transaxle and a barchetta body, but carried a larger 3,284 cc V6 that gave 265 hp and a top speed of 260 km/h. Its best known wins were Juan Manuel Fangio in the 1953 Carrera Panamericana, Alberto Ascari in the 1954 Mille Miglia and Piero Taruffi in the 1954 Targa Florio and Giro di Sicilia. A D24 was presented in 1955 to Argentine President Juan Peron, and only two survive, one of them in the Lancia Museum.
