Lancia 6Ro

The Lancia 6Ro was the last heavy bonneted truck of Lancia V.I., the industrial vehicle arm of Lancia. It was a military truck launched in 1947 and built until 1953, and for the first time an Italian military truck was offered with a diesel engine only. It was the military version of the first Esatau, the new civil truck that Lancia brought out after the war to replace the 3Ro of 1933, and it carried the army code ACP48. The engine was a six cylinder in line four stroke diesel of 8,245 cc with direct injection, 24 valves and an aluminium cylinder head, giving 122 horsepower at 2,000 revolutions a minute. A three axle version was also made, and the truck stayed in active service for about fifteen years.
