Kamov Ka-115

Lighter-Than-Air Craft and Rotorcraft

The Kamov Ka-115 Moskvichka is a light multi-purpose helicopter designed for passenger and cargo transport, emergency service, search and rescue, patrol and charter flights. A full-scale mockup was built first to optimise the layout, and a TsAGI wind tunnel model was used to improve the aerodynamics; a model was shown at the MAKS-95 aerospace show. The prototype first flew in 1999. The basic helicopter has a Pratt and Whitney Canada and Klimov PW206K/2 turboshaft driving a coaxial rotor system with rotor de-icing, a large five-door cabin with big windows and a skid undercarriage. The source lists a maximum take-off weight of 1,850 kg and a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
